Out of so many lunar months, He bestowed upon us one sacred month. Imagine seventy thousand or even more people having this opportunity, where every breath is counted as worship.

Could Ramadan 2026 be our chance to be one of them?

This unique blend of Hadith and psychological research on the effects of fasting.

Last Night of Sha’ban: How to Spiritually Prepare for Ramadan

On the last day of Shaban, hearts soar with delight at the sight of the crescent moon, feeling the first whispers of Ramadan’s arrival, a Sunnah to remember and welcome the holy month.

Narrated by Sahabi Salman Al-Farsi (RA): On the last day of Sha’ban, the Prophet ﷺ said: "O people! The month of Ramadan, full of greatness and blessings, has come upon you."
  • This month is special for worship and good deeds, and it includes a night better than a thousand months of worship.

  • Fasting and Acts of Worship.

  • Fasting in Sha’ban is accepted by Allah.

  • Performing Taraweeh and optional prayers (Nawafil) during Ramadan is like performing obligatory prayers in other months.

  • Whoever performs obligatory acts in Ramadan is rewarded as if they performed 70 obligations in another month.

  • Ramadan is a month of healing, patience, empathy, and kindness, "a time that awakens the heart and nourishes the soul from within.”

Using Food as a Reward: From a Sip to the Fountain of Al-Kausar

As we’ve shared in our blog on Divine Decree and Rizq, every person’s sustenance was written 50,000 years before creation and permanently determined even in the mother’s womb.

  • Allah chooses Ramadan as a time to multiply sustenance.

  • Whoever provides Iftar for a fasting person, Allah forgives their sins and saves them from the fire of Hell.

  • Even giving a sip of milk, a date, or water earns the reward of aiding a fasting person.

  • Feeding a fasting person fully receives bounties at the Fountain of Al-Kawthar, never leaving them thirsty, as if entering Paradise. 👉 You can also read the virtues of Surah Al-Kausar to learn how it brings peace and relief from stress.

How Giving Boosts Happiness and Reduces Stress and Anxiety

Research shows that prosocial spending, using your resources to benefit others, is associated with greater happiness and emotional well‑being across cultures, suggesting that acts of giving can help reduce stress and uplift the spirit.

The First Night of Ramadan2026: Unlock 70,000 Divine Treasures

Husband and wife sharing Suhoor during Ramadan 2026, enjoying a pre-dawn meal and blessings.
Suhoor is blessed; so, do not neglect it, even with a sip of water.

When a noble guest begins to draw near, we do not wait carelessly. We prepare, we tidy our homes, but for Ramadan, we are instructed to purify our souls.

We pause and quietly ask ourselves: Am I truly ready?

This is not just another Islamic month.

It is a personal invitation from Allah, an honorable opportunity where every hunger, every tear, and every whispered prayer is seen, cherished, and rewarded beyond measure.

Narrated by Abu Hurairah (RA), the Prophet ﷺ said that Allah said, “The deeds of the son of Adam are multiplied from ten to seven hundred times, but fasting is for Me, and I shall reward it Myself.”

  1. Promise of Seventy Thousand Without Reckoning (Accountability)

The Prophet ﷺ said: "My Lord has promised me that seventy thousand of my Ummah will enter Paradise without reckoning, and with every thousand, another seventy thousand will be added.”

Reference: Jami` at-Tirmidhi, Hadith 2346

This hadith brings glad tidings, especially for:

  • Those who restrain their nafs (desires) for the sake of Allah’s pleasure.

  • Those whom Allah chooses for mercy receive immense, unparalleled rewards.

  • Allah’s compassion and pardon are so vast that fasting believers are granted joy and good news in this world.

  • By avoiding wrongdoing, they attain the finest gifts from Allah.

  • Fasting can lead to entry into Paradise without being held accountable for sins or deeds.

  • Beyond abstaining from food and drink, fasting is a means to draw nearer to Allah and experience His mercy, forgiveness, and divine.

  1. Rewards for Prayer and Prostration

Whoever prays during this night or recites the Names of Allah (Asma-ul-Husna):

  • 1,500 good deeds are written for every prostration.

  • A ruby palace in Paradise is built for them with 60,000 doors, each with gold latches studded with rubies.

  1. Virtues of the First Fast: 70,000 angels pray for your forgiveness

Whoever observes the first fast of Ramadan:

  • Allah forgives their sins until the last day of the month.

  • 70,000 angels pray for their forgiveness from dawn to sunset.

  • Every prostration earns a tree in Paradise, whose shade lasts 500 years for a traveler, never disappearing.

  1. The Joy of Ramadan: Spiritual and Psychological Effects

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever rejoices at the arrival of Ramadan, Allah will protect them from the grief of the Day of Judgment."
  • Welcoming Ramadan with happiness is a sign of strong faith.

  • Joy in Ramadan increases blessings and mercy in the heart.

  • Allah protects the joyful believer from the fears and sorrows of the Hereafter.

Research shows that during Ramadan, stress and depressive symptoms can decrease, indicating that the fasting experience itself may support emotional well-being (Kadri et al., 2000)
  1. The Virtue of a Fasting Person’s Breath — Even While Asleep

Muslim observing fast in Ramadan 2026, reciting prayers while resting, protecting from Shaytan’s whispers
A senior scholar narrated: At the mosque’s door, Shaytaan was astonished. When asked why, he said: "Shaytaan said: ‘Inside the mosque, a person is busy in prayer. I try to approach him, but at the door, this fasting person is sleeping. Whenever he breathes, each breath becomes fire for me, preventing me from entering."
  1. Fasting is not only refraining from food and drink; even the breath of a fasting person is an act of worship.

  2. Every action of a fasting person becomes a barrier against Shaytaan, even while they sleep. Each breath is a form of ibadah that frightens Shaytaan.

  3. This illustrates how close a fasting person is to Allah’s pleasure.
