Born from a Broken Man: A Dark Truth Revealed

A boy surrounded by hands symbolizing fear and trauma bond, not yet healed.

The words of his parents shook him to his core, reopening the scars of a trauma bond he believed had long faded into silence.

Standing before them, he finally spoke not with anger, but with a fractured honesty he could no longer contain.

“Listen, Father, I became Rohaan the Builder or perhaps the king of this illegal world,” he said bitterly.

His voice trembled as he continued, “But I am a broken man because the uncle you trusted most was the reason my innocence was shattered in my early life.

What I carried was not just memory, but silence, fear, and years of suppressed truth that slowly changed who I became.

The Rage Burning in Me

Rohaan did not stop. The floodgates had opened.

A volcano had been burning inside me for years.

One day, when I finally dared to stand up to his humiliation, you punished me instead. You locked me in a dark room.

That night, the door opened.

Your brother walked in.

By sunrise, a child no longer felt safe in his own home, while his parents slept peacefully behind closed doors.

The next morning, he sent me away to boarding school. Not for my future. Not for discipline.

To hide his sin and bury his secrets.

Azlaan Behind the Mask

That was the night I stopped believing in goodness,” Rohaan said quietly. “Azlaan, the one you always compared me with.

Yes, he was involved in drugs and gambling, and your brother knew it, but his flaws were kept in the shadows while I carried all the blame.

He took a steady breath.

Trauma Release: From Revenge to Regret

I wanted revenge, not because I was evil, but because I was a wounded child with nowhere to place my pain.

“And the truth is, his death was never my doing. Azlaan sold the house to clear his debts. I bought it. The shock changed everything.”

Rohaan stepped forward and placed a file in his father’s shaking hands.

“Take this. It contains the documents of your brother’s sold house. Give it to Azlaan.”

His voice lowered.

“I once thought revenge was the solution, but it wasn’t. My conscience never let me live with it.

That’s why I forgave your brother.”

He stepped back slowly.

“I’ve settled my past. Now it’s time to go.”

He paused.

“This mansion belongs to both of you.”

Muslim Call to Prayer: A Journey of Healing begins

After entrusting everything to his parents, Rohaan walked away in search of himself.

Whispering, he said:

“Oh Allah… where do I go? I am a burden. No one loves me.”

Suddenly, on a lonely road, the Muslim call to prayer (Adhan) echoed through the dawn:

Hayya 'ala-s-Salah (Come to prayer)

Hayya 'ala-l-Falah (Come to success)

His feet carried him toward the mosque.

There, he performed wudu (ablution) and joined the prayer.

Just a weak servant of Allah standing before his Creator.

His restless spirit finally calmed. His eyes closed, and he slept without anxiety pills.

A Nightmare from the Past

A boy screaming, showing release from past trauma he deserved to have healed.

When afternoon came, a hard hand jerked him awake. For a moment, Rohaan froze.

His face turned pale. Memories slammed into him. He stumbled back in panic.

“You, you’re my uncle, aren’t you?” he shivered

“But you’re dead, aren’t you?

Then how are you here?

Did you come looking for me, even in death?

You oppressor, merciless animal! You stole my happiness and abused my youth!

Don’t touch me! Don’t come near me! Leave me alone!”

His chest ached, and his breathing became uneven.

But this time, the gentle Ruqyah soothed him.

The Day Rohaan Began a New Life

The Imam’s voice flowed like a serene river.

“Calm yourself, my child. This is the house of Allah. I am not your uncle. I am the one who leads prayer here. Do not be afraid. You are under Allah’s protection.”

Days passed in quiet routine. No one questioned him. He prayed, recited the Quran, and slowly began to think again.

Finding Light in Loss: Through a True Mentor

After a few days, the truth finally poured out of him.

“My parents abandoned me. In their eyes, I was nothing but a failure,” he said, his voice stuttering between tears and hiccups.

“And because of that carelessness, a cruel man kept hurting my mind and soul.”

The scholar did not interrupt.

He let Rohaan empty the burden he had carried from his boyhood into adulthood, listening with patience and compassion.

The Rights of Parents in Islam

The Imam let out a deep sigh and said gently:

“This often happens when people follow every word of a toxic family elder.

In doing so, they sometimes neglect the trust Allah has placed in their care: their children.

But my son; no matter what happens, never curse your parents.

If a situation becomes harmful, you may create distance, protect your well-being, and establish boundaries. But do not allow suffering to turn into disrespect.”

The Prophet ﷺ said: “The greatest of sins are associating partners with Allah and disobedience to parents.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari 2654)

And the Prophet ﷺ said: “The pleasure of Allah lies in the pleasure of the father.”

(Sunan al-Tirmidhi 1899)

The Rebirth of King Rohaan: Healed a Traumatic Past

Rohaan King stands peacefully in the open air after being healed from childhood trauma and finding inner calm.

That moment changed something inside him. He finally understood that the status of parents is sacred.

He reconciled with his parents. They acknowledged their mistakes and embraced him with guilt and love.

A new chapter began for Rohaan, the King Builder. He left behind corruption and wrongdoing, choosing accountability instead.

With spiritual and mental therapy, the cracks within him slowly began to mend.

His story became one of trauma bond healing.

The moment Rohaan stopped running from his past and chose to face it, life finally opened a path worth living.

Parent–Child Trauma Bond: Psychological Insight

  • Bowlby’s Attachment Theory (1969) explains that early relationships shape how we trust, understand ourselves, and regulate emotions later in life.

  • Not every difficult bond leads to trauma, but repeated lack of mental availability without repair can leave lasting effects.

  • Good parenting is reflected in how a child feels secure, valued, and at ease over time.
